Discord Relaunch
@everyone, our community team has been working diligently on a plan to restructure our Discord servers to help us better serve our community. We have taken community feedback onboard and are now ready to implement these changes.
We will be taking the FLUF World and Altered State Machine Discord servers into maintenance mode on Sunday 10AM PT / Monday 5AM NZT. During this period, the general channels in these servers will be put into slow mode, and the only other accessible channel will be relating to support tickets.
The FLUF World server will re-launch as Futureverse, the home of all things creative, gaming, and experiences.
The Altered State Machine server will be re-launched as The Root Network, the home of all things technical, tokenomics, and protocols.
The Seekers, ATEM Car Club, and AI League: FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Edition servers will be locked from Sunday 10PM PT / Monday 5PM NZT, and direct people to the relevant server depending on their interests.

FuturePass Update
@everyone the first FuturePass optimization begins tomorrow. We’re updating FuturePass from an EVM-based implementation to a built-in native component of The Root Network. This update will deliver cheaper gas fees and security improvements.
The native integration will also mean that your existing FuturePass address will change to a new number. You will see this when using experiences with FuturePass integrated, such as Gods & Goblins, The Next Legends, ATEM, the Underground, the FuturePass dashboard, and more to come.
This new format ensures FuturePass addresses are easily identified in your wallet.
To complete this update, FuturePass will go into maintenance mode for an estimated 5 hours from (Tues 2pm PT / Wed 9am NZT). During this time, you will not be able to access FuturePass via the website, or experiences with FuturePass integrated.

WELCOME TO FUTUREVERSE
Today, we’re proud to announce our ecosystem-wide roll-up is complete. Together officially now as Futureverse, we’re in the best position to deliver on our mission to empower the next generation of creators through a world-class open metaverse infrastructure and rich content experiences.
This process is one that wouldn’t have been possible without the diligent work of our team, the patience of our community, and the shared belief in what we’re building together. Thank you to everyone for bearing with us through this period, and we can’t wait for the exciting next chapter ahead.
Bringing 11 separate companies together into a single organisation is a complex task, to say the least. With these organisations of varying sizes, overlapping departments have been consolidated to optimise our productivity and efficiency. We are also shifting our focus to the next phase of our plan; moving from creating characters and content, to activating content in applications, experiences and networks, while simultaneously scaling our users and enabling our community to become creators. As can be expected, this has meant the unfortunate loss of some staff from the respective entities who came together. This is a difficult process for all involved; however, it is essential to ensure we are well-placed to scale and bring the Futureverse technology to the world.

@Drivers The first challenge on The Root Network was to create The Next Legends Pro Boxers using the new character creator DOT mixer technology. Here’s everything you need to know about The Root Network’s second challenge.
- Muhammad Ali - The Next Legends Pro Boxer holders will be able to complete this challenge by bridging one boxer from Ethereum to The Root Network.2. Create a FuturePass or log in to your existing FuturePass to use our Ethereum bridge futurepass.futureverse.app3. From your Stuff page, click on the bridge icon on your Boxer asset to move one TNL Pro Boxer to The Root Network.4. You will be eligible for 100 $ROOT per boxer you own, but you only need to bridge one boxer per wallet to unlock your total reward.5. This challenge closes at 4PM PT Tue 30th / 11AM NZT Wed 31st May, at which point a snapshot will be taken and the $ROOT tokens will begin distribution. If you have completed the challenge, rewards will be based on the number of boxers you hold at the time of the snapshot.6. What is the current challenge?
This first The Root Network x The Next Legends challenge is an opportunity for people who tested our DOT mixer technology when minting their TNL Pro Pack to earn a $ROOT token reward.
How do I complete the challenge?
If you haven’t created a FuturePass, visit http://futurepass.futureverse.app and activate your FuturePass using the wallet you used to participate in the TNL mint. If you already have a FuturePass, log in via http://futurepass.futureverse.app
Once you’re in the dashboard, you should see the pop-up saying you’ve completed the TNL challenge. You don’t need to do anything more.
You will not receive your $ROOT tokens immediately; they will be distributed on the 8th of May US / 9th of May NZ.
Please note that Chrome is the preferred browser for FuturePass.
How long is this challenge open for?
This first challenge closes on the 8th of May US / 9th of May NZ, at which point the first $ROOT tokens will be distributed.
What happens if I don’t take any action before the challenge closes?
If you don’t log into the FuturePass dashboard before the challenge closes on the 8th of May US / 9th of May NZ, you will forfeit your potential rewards for this challenge.
How much $ROOT can I earn?
100 $ROOT for every TNL Pro Pack minted.
What can I do with my $ROOT tokens?
We will be releasing the ability to stake $ROOT tokens to secure The Root Network and earn additional rewards very soon. We are also working on a marketplace to allow you to buy and sell assets using $ROOT, a DEX (decentralized exchange) to allow trading of $ROOT for other tokens, and token bridging to allow you to bridge your tokens back to the Ethereum network. More details on these product rollouts will follow shortly.
I minted my TNL Boxer with one wallet but have since transferred it to another. Which wallet do I use?
Your $ROOT reward is linked to the wallet used for minting.
I sold my TNL Boxer already. Can I still participate?
Yes, you will still be rewarded in this challenge for participating in the mint. However, you won’t be able to participate in future TNL challenges to earn rewards without owning the relevant assets.
I bought my TNL Boxer on secondary after the mint. Can I still participate?
Not for this challenge. The first rewards are for those who tested our DOT mixer technology when minting their TNL Pro Pack. However, Pro Boxers that were bought on the secondary market will be able to participate in the upcoming bridging challenge.
I have TNL Boxers across multiple wallets. Can I merge them all into one FuturePass?
The next major release for FuturePass will give you the ability to link multiple different wallets to a single FuturePass. In the meantime, if you minted Pro Boxers using multiple wallets, then you’ll have to set up a FuturePass for each.
Why is this called a “challenge”?
We’re asking the community to help us with tasks on our network, and as a reward for completing these tasks, we’re giving them $ROOT tokens. These first challenges are very simple and help us test the rollout of our new tools, as well as the challenge framework itself. Over time, challenges will take multiple different forms, and some will be much more challenging.
What other challenges are coming?
The second The Root Network x The Next Legends challenge will allow users to unlock additional $ROOT rewards by bridging their TNL Pro Boxers to The Root Network. This challenge will launch after the first challenge closes on the 8th of May US / 9th of May NZ. More details on this will follow soon.
There will be plenty of other challenges and opportunities to unlock $ROOT tokens in the near future.

Futureverse Announces Finalized Whitepaper and Introduces FutureScore
The original Futureverse whitepaper proposed some distribution mechanics for the ROOT token that were subject to community and regulatory feedback. Based on this feedback, we’re pleased to have adapted the original draft structure to set up The Root Network for long-term success. View the whitepaperThe changes include a 100% increase to the community rewards, which will also drive participation from the community to build out The Root Network ecosystem and ensure that both new and long-term holders are able to participate in rewards. We’re also introducing the FutureScore system, which is designed to make The Root Network into a game, where your collectibles play a role in the rewards you receive. This novel approach forms a kind of ‘proof of work’ for token decentralization. This is on top of the base layer of rewards from being a network validator or staking in the security of The Root Network.

- Why are you making changes to the whitepaper?
The original whitepaper had some proposed distribution mechanics for the ROOT token subject to community and regulatory feedback. We are pleased to have adapted the original draft structure based on this feedback to set The Root Network up for long-term success. We’ve now updated the whitepaper with the latest token details.
- Will there be further changes to the whitepaper?
The fundamental concepts and themes outlined in the Futureverse whitepaper will remain unchanged, but we may want to update certain details to reflect our evolving understanding of the web3 audience, industry, and technology. We will ensure that we communicate any changes (and their rationale) in advance.
-What is FutureScore, and how is it calculated?
The FutureScore is a mechanism within the Futurepass technology and will be calculated based on things like the type of assets you hold, the number of assets you hold, how long you have held them, the rarity of those assets, the activities those assets have been involved with, along with other contributions players have made to growing the ecosystem, such as social media activity. The score is dynamic, will evolve over time, and will be influenced based on your participation.
-What happens to my FutureScore if I’ve had to move my assets between wallets?
Your FutureScore won't be affected if you've had to move your assets between wallets, provided your wallets are associated with the same FuturePass.
- When will FutureScore be active?
The FutureScore feature and ability to link wallets will be part of the next major FuturePass release. Further details on these features will be made public before the release.
