We are back with another update regarding our progress building out the dYdX V4 Blockchain; we are excited to announce the completion of our third of five milestones!
The dYdX Private Testnet is planned to begin on 3/28/2023 and will last 2-3 weeks. Now that we have completed the technical implementation of this milestone, a limited number of validators will verify the functionality of this initial external testnet. Over the course of these next few weeks, we look forward to working with these validators to test out various aspects of the network.

Due to extreme volatility, the initial margin fraction of MKR-USD is now 50%. The maintenance margin fraction is not changed.

On March 10th, our team noticed a higher than normal amount of fast withdrawal requests. Fast withdrawals are expedited slow withdrawals that come from a liquidity pool. This means that fast withdrawals may not be able to be processed if the pool is empty. The pool is replenished on a rolling-basis, around 12 hours after each fast withdrawal occurs. Due to the uptick in fast withdrawal requests, we are monitoring the liquidity pool in real time. The liquidity pool funds can be checked at https://api.dydx.exchange/v3/fast-withdrawals.

In light of recent events surrounding Silicon Valley Bank we want to clarify the following:
-dYdX will continue to function at any USDC-USD price.
-dYdX does not assume USDC = USD
-All positions, collateral, funding payments in USDC are worth less in USD terms in the event of a USDC depeg, just like any USDC held anywhere.
-Traders would not be liquidated as a result of USDC-USD price changes.
-Funding payments would continue to work as normal, with traders exchanging payments in USDC proportional to their USDC notional.
