Considering everyone's overwhelming excitement regarding our historic potential acquisition of Spey Bay, I wanted to send through a quick update:

We've heard from the seller agents that the current owner likes our bid. We're not in a place to say that we've won but we are in a better position than most.  Also, as anticipated, the interest in this site was extremely high so we've done well to get this far (as we've heard from other potential buyers that their bids have been rejected)  I'll be sending more news as it comes through! 

TLDR: We’ve been moved forward in the process of purchasing Spey Bay as one of the final bids, but that’s all we know at this point. We’ll release more information in the coming days as we receive it.

Hey @everyone! As you know, it's been a remarkable week for our project with record-setting engagement from the membership and a historic and overwhelmingly positive (88% Yes) vote for LinksDAO to place a bid on the beautiful Spey Bay Links (one of 246 true links courses still in existence) in Scotland.  A quick update: we submitted our bid this morning just before the deadline.  Our real estate agents have told us (and cbruce confirmed when he was on the grounds there) that there is enormous interest in this site.  This process will draw many bids from very qualified buyers but we feel that we have an advantage in our community which is the future of this beautiful game.  We expect to hear back from the sellers by the middle of next week so cross your fingers and say a Scottish prayer everyone!  Let's Get This Course!!
