Unfortunately we've had some issues with our Pickle Point calculations which looks on-chain to calculate pickle points for all our NFTs from our 4 Collections - this includes calculating pickle points for NFTs that have changed hands ensuring allocation of pickle points to the old owner for the period they held, and to the new owner for the period they've held.

We have had to reduce the frequency of our donations due to massively reduced amount of royalties we receive - it simply hasn't been worth the gas to transfer that eth around monthly.
We have been keeping tabs each month of what the Non-Profit funds entitlements are and we'll continue the reduced frequency while it remains this way to maximise the amount that's actually being donated.
The majority of this donation has actually come from the Community Fund through community members choice to donate using their Pickle Points 🙂

While every month is Pride Month for us at NYB, this month is especially important to pay homage to those who have sacrificed and fought for the freedom and equality we have today. The fact that Georgia and I were able to celebrate our relationship and get married earlier this year, surrounded by all our family and friends, was only due to the efforts of those who have fought for the rights to equality and acceptance. Having said that, there is still so much work to be done for there to be true equality and to stop the discrimination and persecution of LGBTQIA+ people around the world.

Whether you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ community, or an ally, it takes a village to make impactful change and when we stand together, we’re never alone. We thank you all for using your voices and standing up for the equality that you believe in, and also for your support so that we can celebrate, support and represent the LGBTQIA+ community within Web3.

Thanks to everyone who voted in our #✔-holders-vote - it was a lot closer than we thought it would be, but we do have a winner. Pickle Points will be moved to Polygon. We are now in the process of setting everything up 🙂

We have decided that March and April's Pickle Points Pay Day will now be on Polygon.

To break everything down :

🥒 Your ETH based Pickle Points total as of 30th April will be airdropped the same amount of Pickle Points but on Polygon to the wallet that currently contains them

LAUNCH OF Collectle.io

We are super excited to announce the launch of our new NFT Marketplace, Collectle, which I have built for all NFT Collections.

Collectle has been a major passion project - I'm tired of seeing creators, in particular creators of smaller NFT collections and 1/1 artists, be messed around by the likes of Blur and Opensea.

Collectle.io enforces full royalties. It aggregates listings from other NFT marketplaces with the exception of Blur. We do not aggregate from Blur as Blur's current set up is built for zero royalties, whereas Opensea and other marketplaces does optional royalties so the "conversation" with the smart contract is open to add in missing royalties. If Blur changes this, we can add Blur easily.

For many creators royalties are an important revenue stream. I understand that some people argue that royalties shouldn't be an important revenue stream - my view is that this is argument is unethical. Many other projects, collections and artists don't have the means for additional revenue streams, this doesn't mean that they are "bad" projects or collections. I would like to see where the "leading" NFT Projects would be without royalties before royalties were stripped. This industry is in it's infancy and I am here to help the underdogs to continue on their journeys within this space.

Without royalties many founders will disappear - please note that this isn't the case for us because we do have different income/revenue streams. I can't sit back and watch this whole industry go to shit. I can't watch people lose faith. I also understand that many smaller projects don't have the means to create their own marketplaces either. Yes there are developers that can build marketplaces for projects, but these cost a lot. With no revenue, how are projects supposed to pay these developers, if they don't have the skills in-house?

So I've taken on the responsibility myself. I've built the solution for everyone and finally an NFT marketplace that isn't run by trigger happy individuals, that is built for creators, that is built for all the right reasons now exists.

This is where our amazing community comes in. We need to roar about Collectle. I'm in touch with many other founders who love what I've built and are about to start promoting it, but I ask you our community, to roar so loud about this.

Based on the #✔-holders-vote this will be the last time that we provide a monthly claim. We will be moving to a claim based on 2 months at a time. With this, all Pickle Points earned within February can now be claimed until 30th April.

Our next claim will be on 1st of May 2023, where you will be able to claim your Pickle Points for March and April combined.

By moving to this structure with our Pickle Points claim, Pickle Points will be claimable for 2 months rather than the one.

Not only will this reduce gas costs on average for our holders as you will only need to do one transaction to claim every 2 months, rather than 1 per month, but it means you have longer to claim and each claim will be juicier 🥒

Following this date, any queries that you have can still be asked and will be answered in Discord - there just won't be the immediacy that there is now and you will be pinged with a response.

for a full explanation of this move and rest assured, the future of Not Your Bro is SOLID and besides this change, you will not notice any changes to the leaps and bounds we are always taking as a project and a brand ❤️

It’s with a very heavy heart that our team will undergo a full restructure resulting in Georgia & I being the remaining members in addition to Morghana who maintains our Instagram and the wonderful LostMilk who will remain on to support you all on Discord and various tasks in the back end of the business until we are ready to hire new members.

This decision has been something that pains us greatly. Our incredible team has been by our sides the entire journey, from the excitement of the mint to the day to day shenanigans. We are forever grateful for their hard work and friendships we have gained on this journey.

This is the first time that Georgia and I have ever been in a situation like this. We are used to operating businesses where we have more control of the demand, growing brands and scaling to great heights. We are not used to dealing with impacts that are out of our control such as the bear market and being in the middle of a war of NFT Marketplaces who no longer honour the creators. We are also incredibly private people at times, but we feel that our community deserves this transparency.

With this update Georgia and I will become even more hands on. We have made changes to other endeavours in our lives that will allow us to put in the appropriate amount of time to kick ass in 2023. We will continue our efforts that are happening behind the scenes with the development of some exciting partnerships, as well as the development of our third roadmap which will centre around building revenue streams outside of royalties. Georgia and I are being recognised as impactful individuals in this space and a lot of opportunities are coming our way for Not Your Bro.

Our goal for Not Your Bro our main area of focus is to establish ourselves as a prominent partner for brands and businesses when it comes to LGBTQIA+ pride and empowerment of women and non-binary people. We are already in some very exciting conversations that we’ll be able to share more about very soon. Yes, this is in addition to the PUMA 1/1 collab 🙂

I apologise to members who will be affected by this update. Ensuring a safe space discord that is staffed 24/7 was a large part of ethos and I can’t help but feel extremely saddened that we aren’t able to sustain this. As business people - we have to look at the numbers and see that each expense is being sufficiently utilised, and given the change in majority of people’s behaviours and the market conditions, we as always have to pivot and invest our resources in areas where the project will see the most success. We have no alternative but to action this update to guarantee the future of Not Your Bro and allow us to continue to make Not Your Bro a success for our holders, our community and the communities we represent.

Dear our Community,

Over the past year, we’ve shared one hell of a ride - filled with so many ups and not many downs. It’s been absolutely incredible. What started out as a mission to make our mark in Web3 and prove that NFTs can be for good, has led us on a journey that’s taken us from our dining table to the stage of NFT NYC where we won our award for Most Impactful Charity NFT Project for our incredible contributions to non-profits. Over the space of several weeks I went from drawing on my ipad one sunday morning in my PJs, to my art and movement being shared by Vogue.

Every single step of the way we’ve been determined to make a difference and focused on creating waves in this industry. Our backgrounds in growing businesses, branding, marketing, development and most importantly social impact has allowed us to shape Not Your Bro into being something more than just an NFT project. We’re not just a project for everyone, but we are a project for good. For the LGBTQIA+ community. For Women. For non-binary people. And importantly, for our allies. Without allies who stand by our side whether it be in day to day life or by our side in this world we call Web3, I can’t express how much it means. I’ve noticed the difference in myself. I hold my head higher now. I stand proud now.

Not Your Bro is more than an NFT Project to me. It’s my soul, my passion and something that has changed myself on a personal level as an individual.

Whereas I state that Not Your Bro is more than an NFT Project to me, at the end of the day it has started out as an NFT Project and has sustained itself throughout the bear market. There hasn’t been a day that’s gone by where we haven’t given our absolute all to Not Your Bro. From bringing out countless utilities, releasing our own platforms like Hired3.io and Whatthenft.co, launching our Pickle Points and HQ, establishing ourselves as a protected brand, partnering with Web2 giants, creating a separate movement to highlight mental health awareness - the list really does go on. Again I’ll say it, we’ve truly given our absolute all - and this will never, ever stop.

As I’m sure many NFT Projects are doing right now after sustaining a year in the bear market, as well as the addition of royalties being not honoured, we’re having to reassess our expenses to ensure the sustainability and longevity of Not Your Bro. Right now, our largest expense is our Discord server. We pride ourselves on paying our team at Australian Standard Rates. We value our team, their time and their skills immensely.

We have come to the difficult decision to no longer staff our discord 24/7. Our Discord will remain open and we have many security measures in place to ensure our Discord will remain a safe place for all. Our ticketing system will also remain open.

This announcement is a personal one ❤️ (Don't worry it's a good personal one)

As we announced last week Georgia and I tied the knot a couple of weeks ago. It was a lovely day spent with family and friends. The wonderful @​Marcie 👑 was also there - thankfully she didn't bring a cucumber to this meet up.

For many of you, we've all spent the last year of our lives together in the NYB community, so wanted to release a photo from our special day with our community and the wider world. When Georgia & I first got together over 8 years ago now, marriage equality wasn't legal here in Australia. Thankfully the Aussie government made changes (following a ridiculous public vote on whether to allow marriage equality or not, but let's not dwell on the shit government does because we'd be here all bloody day) and same sex couples have been able to get married in Australia for a few years now.

With the sharing of this photo we wanted to thank you all. Thank you for being a part of what we're creating here. I've spent many of my younger years hiding, I was the "typical teenager" hiding in my room but thankfully during this time taught myself a lot of the skills I use today. Not Your Bro has given Georgia and I the platform to stand proud and to represent. We're both very private people but Not Your Bro was no accident.
