Hey @everyone! Long time no speak. 👋
We wanted to update you all on the current and future states of the Supercute brand and digital collection.
Several members of the Council have remained in contact with the Supercute team (Natalie and Bart) over the last few months, and here’s what we can share.
- The team remains excited about the big partnership they’ve been working on
- Unfortunately, the launch is 100% in the hands of the large brand, who shall remain nameless at this time (NDAs are fun, aren’t they?)
- Pending that launch, the team has begun expanding the Toymak3rs brand, along with Luis and Karen
- This brand’s focus is premium toy development for companies and other digital projects
- The hope is that this ‘umbrella’ company will help fund the future of Supercute and beyond
- The team has also been engaging in talks with investors and animation studios as they think about Supercute’s future
Supercute NFT collection
It’s become clear that NFT collections (across the board) cannot thrive on their own. Larger brands are necessary to attract attention to the digital side of the business, which is what the team is focused on now. As a result, the NFT collection has been deprioritized.
However.
All is not lost. We’re excited to announce that the Council has reached a licensing agreement to take control of the digital collection, including the NFTs in the treasury. This will allow us, and the rest of the community, to run events, collaborations, and create new merch – some of which is dropping real soon! You may want to keep an eye out on #👀｜merch-sneaks 😉
It’s important to note that while we don’t personally have large budgets (hopefully the new merch helps), we’re going to do whatever we can to revive this incredible community – and we’d love your help! Hop into #💡｜proposals to leave your ideas and ‘react’ to your favorites.

We know things have been very quiet recently, but it’s time we shake things up, make some noise, and have a ton of fun! We can’t promise that our efforts will lead to anything substantial, but we sure as heck are going to try.

Plushies update
I understand that we are all excited about receiving our plushies and the anticipation can be overwhelming at times. With that said, I will ask you to have a bit more patience. After a review of the first round of plushies, it was decided that some modifications were needed in the design. I can say that they now look better than ever!
Now, after some holiday shut downs for the producer/manufacturer, we are back up and in full production.
I know some of us may be frustrated; however, this small delay is leading to a much better product and will set us up better for the next part of our evolution.
I will update again in two weeks if I haven't shared more information by that time 🙂

Happy Monday! Want to kick things off with an exciting update from us:
Shipping for the FREE merch is will start soon! We’re guessing 10 days away.
✅ Hats are done, stickers are done, and now plushies are nearly done.
✅ We shared this with some of you, but we changed the design for the plushies to look more on-brand. See images attached below. At first our factory was having challenges with the wavy body design, and started producing the non-wavy variant. Luckily, they figured out a solution and nailed the body design.
✅ Note: once shipping kicks off everyone who placed their order will be emailed a tracking number.
I’m aware of the few (literally 3) leftover shipping issues. We have your tickets and info, and this will be addressed at time of shipping. I or a mod will reach out at that point.
✅ PS: We have big plans for this iconic plushie that we will share soon (aside from the FREE merch) so it needs to be perfect, on-brand and represent us well!
Celestica taking some time away from Web3:
✅ Our beloved @celestica informed me that she needs to take some time away from Web3 for personal reasons. I cannot say more, but we obviously wish her the very best and await her return.
✅ In the meantime, we had a great @SC Council Member meeting last week, and several members have kindly agreed to step up and play part-time volunteer mod roles. But please be patient with any tickets.
✅ Job Opportunity: We are looking to bring on a new mod to plug the hole in Celestica’s absence asap. Hiring from within the community is my preference. So let me or the council know if you’re interested. 🙂

Building, deals and more deals…
Natalie, Luis myself and the team are heads down non-stop building Supercute into a true global brand. Here is what I can share with you today:
✅ Our MAJOR partnership is roaring GO! We are working on this everyday as it will encompass many business streams all at once! Several of you have guessed what it is. But we cannot announce anything as this is currently in our partner’s hands. Launch date is imminent.
✅ We are talking to several MASSIVE animation production companies & distributors (think: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Nickelodeon) to fund the season 1 of our Supercute World cartoon. Talking $10-$15M in funding to produce season 1.
✅ We are currently working with two of the biggest players in Web3 to do something pretty crazy and unprecedented. Look out for this in the next 4 weeks. But this should bring a ton of new eyeballs and web3 buzz to the collection and project!
✅ We’ve signed on with a top ibank in the toy-media space to rep us, and are currently in talks with some incredible mid to large sized toy companies who are just in love with the Supercute IP, and want to get behind it! I expect a major deal in 2023.
✅ Our first Youtube animation video is already over 30k views, and we have about 10 more influencers sharing it before the EOM. At min I'm looking to crack 200k views by EOM.
✅ Our second animation vid “Supercute Wheels on the Bus” is underway and will drop early summer!
